Celebrating Main Street RI
For those of you who have followed our journey of building towards the launch of our Statewide Coordinating Main Street program over the past four years, it will come to little surprise that the beer most of us chose to order at our Main Street RI celebration was appropriately called “Triumph of Persistence”. This Hazy IPA on tap at the Guild in Pawtucket was a refreshing, well-earned treat for Main Street RI’s supporters to enjoy as we celebrated the $125,000 the RI General Assembly allocated for the next fiscal year to fund our Statewide Coordinating Main Street Program.
We shared our plans for the program, heard from friends old and new about their Main Street hopes and dreams, and connected with those invested in making our Main Streets into Great Streets. Our guest of honor was Senator Lori Urso, our great champion for Main Street RI in the State House and beyond.
Thank you to all of you who helped get us this far, and who came out to celebrate what is yet to come. We can’t wait to fill you in on what’s next.
